Through Perspectives, we showcase this work as part of our commitment to treating aesthetics as a way of knowing, not just a matter of style.

We draw on the tradition of aesthetic cognitivism, the view that art is itself a form of knowledge. A photograph, a painting, or a visual experiment can disclose truths that data and argument alone cannot. Art helps us notice what usually remains invisible, rethink the assumptions we inherit, and imagine new possibilities.

Each season, Cantera collaborates with an artist to feature their work across our site.
